Since being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2015, Stephen has developed Freemans Event Partners into a major, multi-service event solutions partner, doubling the company’s size in under a decade, whilst operating at more than 400 events and reaching in excess of 15 million people per year. 

Stephen has driven innovation and empowered growth throughout Freemans Event Partners, taking it from a conventional food and beverage service provider to a multi-faceted event partner. The business structure consists of a fully bespoke food and beverage solution, including tailored infrastructure and build projects, end-to-end PCI compliant payment services, an AA+ BRCGS accredited logistics solution and a brand partnerships division delivering immersive activations and partnerships with global brands such as Moët & Chandon, Coca-Cola, Nestlé and Mastercard. 

Under Stephen’s stewardship, the business has built long-term partnerships with the most prestigious stadia and venues in the world, including Silverstone Circuit, Twickenham Stadium, Lord’s Cricket Ground and Wembley Stadium. Through these venue associations, the business is able to deliver outstanding fan and spectator experiences at world-class events, including the Formula One and Moto GP British Grand Prix, the Ryder Cup, the European Tour, the Grand National, the Cheltenham Races, the Badminton Horse Trials, the Commonwealth Games and Major League Baseball at London Stadium – to name but a few.

In 2023, Stephen received the Senior Executive of the Year Award at the Contract Catering Awards.
