North Carolina Football Club announces partnership with IQONIQ

The North Carolina Football Club has announced a multi-year partnership with new fan engagement platform, IQONIQ. The IQONIQ logo will be featured on the sleeve of the 2020 NC Courage kit during the NWSL Challenge Cup in Utah.

IQONIQ will be the Official Fan Engagement Platform of USL Championship side North Carolina Football Club through 2023, and the partnership signifies the Club’s commitment to utilising new digital trends to enhance its relationship with its fans.

IQONIQ is a new fan engagement platform that exclusively targets the sports and entertainment world. By combining all the modern-day features of fandom into a single platform, IQONIQ provides fans with a unique fan club which offers more personal, more rewarding and more purposeful experiences and engagements with their favourite star individuals and organisations.

With IQONIQ, North Carolina fans will have access to a breadth of features including a loyalty program, customised footage, in-app games, merchandise and ticket offers, and the opportunity to win a range of exclusive prizes.

The North Carolina Football Club is the first club in North America to partner with the European-based company, following similar partnership agreements with EuroLeague Basketball*, Olympique de Marseille, AS Monaco and the Drone Champions League.

The IQONIQ platform is due to become live for users in August.

*EuroLeague Basketball will be running a panel session during this October's ALSD International conference and exhibition, which will be a hybrid event, offering digital elements including live streaming of the conference sessions, remote presentations and virtual networking to complement the physical event taking place at Liverpool FC's Anfield Stadium.

About the North Carolina Football Club

The North Carolina Football Club is the largest youth-to-pro club in the nation and is the parent organisation of North Carolina FC and North Carolina Courage (NWSL) and North Carolina FC Youth.

The organisation is owned by local entrepreneur, Steve Malik, and managed by North Carolina native and longtime soccer executive, Curt Johnson. North Carolina Football Club was established in 2016 to bring the highest levels of men’s and women’s professional soccer to the state.

About the NC Courage

The North Carolina Courage are a Division I professional women’s soccer team that play in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The NC Courage play home games at Sahlen's Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC.

The NC Courage was established in January 2017 after owner Steve Malik acquired the Western New York Flash following their 2016 NWSL Championship Season and moved the team to North Carolina.

Since relocating to Raleigh, the NC Courage have won three consecutive NWSL Shields, the inaugural Women's ICC Championship, and the 2018 and 2019 NWSL Championships.
