Billy joined Liverpool Football Club (LFC) in 2012 as Chief Commercial Officer and member of the Executive Committee. He was promoted to Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer in February 2017 and is responsible for the Club’s global commercial operations, and strategic growth. This includes all high-level partnerships, digital media operations, partnerships, retail, ticketing, hospitality and marketing.
During his time at LFC, he has played a pivotal role in the Club’s commercial developments, including the commercialisation of Anfield’s expanded Main Stand, the extensions to key principal partnerships, creating the biggest kit supplier deal in the Club's history and the opening of the ambitious commercial office in London.
He previously served as Managing Director for Fenway Sports Management (FSM), the global sponsorship sales arm of Fenway Sports Group, whose properties include the Boston Red Sox, New England Sports Network (NESN) and Roush Fenway Racing.
Billy's responsibilities at FSM consisted of securing high-level sponsorships for the Boston Red Sox, as well as driving substantial growth in commercial revenue for FSM’s affiliated properties including; MLB Advanced Media, LeBron James/LRMR Marketing, Boston College Athletics and the PGA TOUR Playoff event, the Deutsche Bank Championship.
